n e w wave

They say that while reading you can be wherever you want to be. I truly believe in it. And this is what I think about looking at pictures. This is why we love it so much. This is why  we click with whatever we have at our hands and make thousands of pictures but put just very few of the ‚klicked’ on our (real) walls to have a daily glance at them. That is also the reason why we spend so much time on Instagram, Facebook or Vimeo on everyday basis. This is why the coffee picture gets so many likes and their authors followers whereas pictures of brilliant photographers from let’s say Africa or Afghanistan who also try to put themselves out there get very few admirers. 

We love to look at pictures which express our feelings and emotions. And we usually look for something happier and more powerful than our own surrounding.

At the beginning of the year I present you a few pics taken in Narja (Spain), expressing feeling of N E W wave. Windows and doors express the willingness of starting fresh to me. Some windows are hidden and other even behind the bars but there are something attractively new waiting behind those barriers of ourselves.

Mówią, że podczas czytania możesz być tam, gdzie chcesz. Naprawdę w to wierzę. Również jeśli mowa o oglądaniu zdjęć. Dlatego tak bardzo to kochamy. Dlatego klikamy wszystkim, co mamy w naszych rękach i robimy tysiące zdjęć, ale umieszczamy tylko kilka z tych „klikniętych” na naszych (rzeczywistych) ścianach, aby móc na nie codziennie spoglądać. To jest powód, dla którego spędzamy tak dużo czasu na Instagramie, Facebooku czy Vimeo. Dlatego obraz kawy zyskuje tyle sympatii i zwolenników, podczas gdy zdjęcia genialnych fotografów z Afryki, czy powiedzmy Afganistanu, którzy również próbują się tam odnaleźć, mają niewielu wielbicieli.

Uwielbiamy patrzeć na zdjęcia, które wyrażają nasze uczucia i emocje. I zwykle szukamy czegoś szczęśliwszego i potężniejszego od naszego otoczenia.

Na początku roku przedstawiam wam kilka zdjęć zrobionych w Narji (Hiszpania), wyrażających uczucie: idzie N O W E. Okna i drzwi wyrażają dla mnie chęć rozpoczęcia czegoś od nowa. Niektóre okna są ukryte, a inne nawet za kratami, ale za tymi barierami czeka nas coś pociągająco nowego.
